Vello was founded in Sep 2018 by former professional footballer Ben Dixon and marketing professional Owen Boland.
With exposure to influencers and celebrities, Dixon realized the potential of a video digital app whilst operating a successful coaching clinic for aspiring footballers.
Dixon piloted a video coaching program which attracted 385 users paying $40 each per month in it’s first year.
In year 2 he saw a growth of 60% after introducing 2 way video interactions. This lead to developing our own technology to allow greater engagement, knowledge sharing and authentic interactions.
Vello has been developed from concept into a functional and scalable form that can be used by multiple users and which allows celebrities, domain experts, business professionals and other influencers from around the globe to communicate and be paid directly by their followers and fans.
While developing VR and AR features for the app, Vello has expanded it’s product offering into the retail space and will now build out these immersive technologies with a greater feature set that can integrate into any business platforms and user devices.
