1. Competition Period
The competition opens on [Opening Date] and closes at 11:59pm AEST on [Closing Date].
Entries received after the closing date will not be considered.
2. Eligibility
Entry is open to participants of the YJFL.
Participants under 18 years of age must have the permission of a parent or legal guardian before submitting an entry.
Employees of Vello Technologies and their immediate families are not eligible to enter.
3. How to Enter
To enter, participants must:
- Submit a kicking video via the official Dropbox upload link.
- Provide their name and email address.
- Follow the filming instructions provided in the competition email or on the competition webpage.
There is no entry fee.
Multiple entries are permitted provided each submission contains a different participant.
4. Video Requirements
For the best chance of being selected, videos should:
- be filmed in landscape orientation
- have a stationary camera
- show the player's kicking leg side-on to the camera
- include the player's starting position, run-up, kick, landing and at least two metres of ball travel
- include the requested one metre ground markers
- be clear and unobstructed
Football size or colour does not matter.
5. Prize
Twenty (20) winners will each receive:
One (1) Rebel Sport Gift Voucher valued at AUD $50.
Total prize pool:
AUD $1,000
Prizes are not transferable or redeemable for cash.
If a prize becomes unavailable, Vello Technologies reserves the right to substitute a prize of equal value.
6. Winner Selection
Entries are not randomly drawn.
The twenty (20) videos that best follow the filming instructions and provide the highest quality footage for testing the VisXL system will be selected as the winners.
The judges' decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
7. Notification of Winners
Winners will be notified via the email address provided during submission within 14 days of the competition closing.
If a winner cannot be contacted within 14 days, Vello Technologies may select another winner.
8. Use of Submitted Videos
By submitting a video, participants grant Vello Technologies a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free, perpetual licence to use, reproduce, analyse, store, copy and modify the submitted video for the purposes of:
- developing the VisXL platform
- testing and validating computer vision systems
- improving motion analysis algorithms
- internal research and development
- demonstrating the technology to customers, partners or investors, provided individuals are not identified unless additional consent has been obtained.
Ownership of the original video remains with the participant.
9. Promotional Use
Vello Technologies will not publicly use a participant's name or identifiable video footage for advertising, marketing or promotional purposes without obtaining additional permission.
10. Privacy
Personal information collected during the competition will be handled in accordance with the Vello Technologies Competition Privacy Notice.
Information collected includes:
- name
- email address
- uploaded video
This information will only be used to:
- administer the competition
- contact winners
- develop and improve the VisXL platform
11. Parent or Guardian Consent
If the participant is under 18 years of age, the person submitting the entry confirms they are:
- the participant's parent or legal guardian; or
- have the permission of the participant's parent or legal guardian to submit the video.
12. Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Vello Technologies is not responsible for:
- lost or corrupted uploads
- technical failures
- internet interruptions
- incomplete entries
- entries not received due to technical issues
13. Right to Cancel or Modify
Vello Technologies reserves the right to amend, suspend or cancel the competition if circumstances outside its reasonable control make this necessary.
14. Governing Law
These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia.
